Update: The Bus to Never Never Land

04/22/2010

Hello again,

I want to thank all of you for making yesterday’s post The Bus to Never Never Land the most successful yet with over 1,800 views (and counting). Most importantly, you all opened some great conversation. This blog is as much for myself as it is for the community, if not more so. And of course, many, many thanks to WordPress.com for featuring the post on their homepage.

Here are a few of my favorite things that have come up in response to yesterday’s post:

  • Stir-Fried Dinosaur says, “In other news, you’ve got me listening to The Dead (Dane County Coliseum, 2/15/73) for the first time in a long time. Man, ‘73 was such a great year for them!” Ya melted my heart Stir-Fried! If I can get more people revisiting the Dead, I’ll be one happy Deadhead.
  • Thomas Stazyk shared a link about a recent VW enthusiast’s tour. Check it out at http://www.3news.co.nz/VW-fans-get-together-to-celebrate-all-things-Kombi/tabid/367/articleID/150865/Default.aspx.
  • Loved hearing Stoffainkorea’s theory on one reason the VW offers so much freedom. Be sure to read his comment for some VW nostalgia.

Keep the comments coming and feel free to send your stories, photos, and suggestions to becomingdead1@gmail.com. And if you like what you read… subscribe!

Site Updates:

  • You can now follow this blog and thousands of others of your choosing on Blog Lovin’ by clicking the icon to the right.
  • The Recent Posts section allows you to browse through what Becoming Dead has been up to. Take a look and please, stick around for a while.

Happy Earth Day ya’ll. Stay tuned and find out how the Grateful Dead did their part in saving the universe.

Sing no more now just be still
All these trials soon be past
Look for something built to last”
